The yearly data shows similar trends as most 4 wheelers did with more sales this year than the last. An even growth around all aspects except scooters.
In a month difference, the domestic sales have taken a major hit compared to exports which are also in the red. The numbers of scooters sold tumbled hard as well.
Hero MotoCorp stated that May-21 to April-21 sales are not comparable due to the second wave of covid and May sales won’t be comparable to coming months as well.
Similar trends as every other automotive company Honda has also suffered in both domestic sales and exports.
Honda lost domestic sales this year meanwhile gaining a massive increase in exports a whopping 2266.46% gain.
Just like Hero’s sale comparing May-21 to April-21 will not give significant insight into the trend as what happened last month is not a normal occurrence.
Red across unit sold in both domestic and exports as has been expected due to the circumstances. A couple of months with low numbers will come as no surprise but with some states relaxing lockdowns should help get the numbers up.
TVS suffered losses in the domestic sector meanwhile exporting more in the month of may compared to both May-20 and April-21 which comes as a pleasant surprise.
Nothing out of the ordinary in the yearly sales report as it shows positive gains across all the numbers.
