We have been eagerly waiting for the 7-seater SUV to launch. But, thanks to the pandemic, Hyundai Alcazar will now launch in June 2021. It was supposed to be launched by the end of the month. Let’s take a look at what we know about the Alcazar so far.
- You will get an option between a 6-seater and a 7-seater layout. The 6-seat layout will have captain seats for the middle row while 7-seat will have a bench row.
- Hyundai Alcazar will have a more powerful petrol engine under the hood. You will get a Nu 2.0-litre petrol engine capable of producing 159ps and 191.22Nm of torque.
- Alcazar will be 150mm longer than Creta in order to accommodate the third row of seats.
What features can we expect from Hyundai Alcazar?
We can expect Alcazar to share a lot in common with the Creta. It will boast features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 360-degree camera, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, automatic climate control and much more.
What powertrain will the Alcazar have?
Hyundai Alcazar will be offered with two engine options only: Nu 2.0-litre petrol engine and 1.5-litre U2 CRDi diesel. The new petrol mill is capable of churning out 159ps of power and a peak torque of 191.22Nm. Hyundai claims that this engine can do a 0-100kmph in under 10 seconds, which is impressive for sure. You will have an option to choose between a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission.
Rivals and Price
Hyundai Alcazar will lock horns with Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and Mahindra XUV700 (Launch this year). We can expect Hyundai Alcazar to be priced around ₹14 lakhs.
