On the occasion of completing 10 years, Hero Motocorp announced that the company is thinking about electric mobility as the future of the automobile industry. The company wants to be visible on a global level for its electric mobility and wants to take a leadership position.

The company is having a huge focus on electric mobility as stated by Dr. Pawan Munjal, Chairman, and CEO, Hero MotoCorp. He also revealed the plans to be a leader at a global scale in the EV class. Hero is developing the technology for the Indian and German markets. The company also plans to partner with other brands such as Ather Energy and Gogoro by 2030. Hero Motorcorp will form plans in order to focus on a sustainable future, internally and externally.

Hero MotoCorp will try to shift to alternative fuel vehicles such as wind, hydrogen, and solar power. It plans to implement carbon-neutral dealerships and reach 100% product recyclability by 2030. The company will dedicate 10% of the total strength to innovation and development of the technology.

Hero MotoCorp plans to make electric vehicles available in 20 global markets. The global sales target is about 15% by the year 2025. The company expects more than 30% of the overall sales of electric vehicles through digital channels. 

Fast Charging and Battery Swapping

Hero MotoCorp e-scooter is also in the making and the company may reveal it soon. Just like most electric scooters, it is also expected to be based on a fixed charging system. The company is currently also working on a battery swapping technology project partnered with Gogoro. It expects both these technologies to work in a parallel space. 

Products from Hero MotoCorp and Gogoro’s partnership might be revealed next year as the company hasn’t revealed much about the Hero MotoCorp electric scooter.
