Starting with the performance of these new electric scooters, there’s a huge difference in the range of these two. Simple Energy One provides 236 km of range. While the Ola Electric S1 manages to provide 121 km which is almost half the Simple Energy One.

Simple Energy One can accelerate 0-40 km/h in just 2.95 seconds while Ola Electric S1 accelerates 0-40 km/h in 3.6 seconds. 

Looking upon the speed, Ola Electric S1 provides a max speed of 90 km/h and on the other hand, Simple Energy One can reach 105 km/- at max. 

Simple Energy takes a huge lead in every performance aspect when compared to Ola Electric S1.

Which electric scooter offers better features?

Ola Electric S1 features a 36L boot space, iconic headlamps, alloy wheels, enclosed suspension, etc. It has introduced the keyless unlock feature in electric scooters. The sounds and modes can be selected as required and it also features its own AI speech system.

Simple Energy One features a smart touch dashboard that can be used for several purposes. We can navigate through our routes, play music, accept or reject calls just through the screen, etc. It also comes with the remote locking feature via the application.

Talking about the pricing of the scooters under the FAME II subsidy that EVs enjoy in India, Ola Electric S1 is priced at ₹99,999/-. On the other hand, Simple Energy One has launched its electric scooter slightly above that pricing which is ₹1.10 Lakhs. 

Also, it is worth noting that different states in India also have subsidy plans that will drop these electric scooters’ pricing even more. 

Ola Electric S1 is available pan-India while Simple Energy One is currently available in 75 cities

As we discussed in the beginning, companies are looking to capture a bigger market share as soon as possible to get a first-mover advantage in the EV area. Considering this fact, Ola has launched its electric scooter pan India and will not miss even a single city. 

On the other hand, Simple Energy One will be available in about 75 cities as of now. It might reach out to more cities in the coming months but it might get late by then as Ola already has a reputation in the market and will surely take advantage of that.

Which one looks better? Ola Electric S1 vs Simple Energy One

Simple Energy One features a sporty look that might look attractive to only the younger generation and older age people may not opt for it. While Ola Electric S1 is clean, minimal, simple but sophisticated which is its uniqueness. 

There have already been sporty-looking fuel scooters in the market for the past few years and we haven’t seen them succeed as much as the simple ones get. Ola Electric S1 focuses on providing attention to detail, it is as simple as it could be. So, Ola Electric S1 is suitable for all age groups.

Simple Energy One surely is a promising product. But, with the reach of Ola electric and the advancement that the company has made in few months, it seems like Ola Electric might be a better choice here if you don’t have range anxiety.
