After the immense success and overwhelming response of the XUV700. Mahindra has recently launched another mid-level variant to divert customer’s attention. This mid-level variant has been named the Mahindra XUV700 AX5 S (Select) and it comfortably sits between the already existing AX3 and AX5 variants and also gets a few additional features over them.

- The Mahindra XUV700 AX5S has been launched with a price tag of Rs 16.89 Lakhs for the manual variant. While the automatic variant is priced at Rs 18.49 Lakhs (Ex-showroom).
- It is available in both petrol and diesel variants.
- We also get to see a 7-seat layout and a panoramic sunroof, among other additional features, in the AX3 variant. Some of its additional features also include push-button start/stop and reading lamps for second-row passengers.
- Mahindra has also introduced a new entry-level MX3 trim, slashing the starting price as well.

- The Mahindra XUV700 AX5 S still comes with the same powertrain options: a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine which pushes 200 200hp with a peak torque of 380NM, while the 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine churns 185hp with a peak torque of 420NM while paired to a 6-speed manual and a torque converter gearbox.
- Talking about rivals, the XU700 competes directly with the Tata Harrier, Tata Safari, MG Hector/Hector Plus, Jeep Compass and Hyundai Alcazar.
