Tata Motors has finally launched the much-awaited automatic variant of the gold standard hatchback, the Altroz. Launched at an introductory price of Rs. 8,09,000, Tata Altroz will be locking horns with the Hyundai i20, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza, and Honda Jazz. Tata Altroz Automatic DCA: Engine and Transmission Specifications
You are going to get the 1.2-litre 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine capable of churning 86hp of power and a peak torque of 113Nm. This engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Do note that Tata is claiming this DCA to be more reliable and smoother as it has got lesser number of components when compared to the conventional DCT gearboxes. Also, DCA is the world’s first Dual Clutch Transmission with Planetary Gear System.

If you were expecting DCA with the 1.2-litre turbo engine, you’ll have to wait for now. Even the diesel engine won’t be getting any automatic option as of now.
